FOR JUST £45 PER MONTH YOU GET:

  • No hassle parking
  • Unlimited travel
  • Fast and direct services
  • Free WiFi (on some services)

So, what is it?

The annual SMART bus pass is ideal for people who want to or need to travel on bus services provided by more than one bus company in most parts of North Staffordshire.

The pass allows you to travel on all bus company services that operate in the SMART boundary area.

How does it work?

Your employer has to be a sales agent to take advantage of this scheme. You will receive an annual SMART bus pass and your employer allows you to pay for it by 12 monthly deducations from your salary. Speak to your employer to see whether they are an agent. The scheme is quick and easy to set up and there is no charge in becoming an agent. Contact the ticketing team on ticketing@stoke.gov.uk for further information.

Where is the discount?

A SMART month bus pass normally costs £70. By agreeing to travel by bus for 12 months you save £25 each month compared to the normal price. This works out at £300 a year.

How do I pay?

You have to sign up for 12 months and pay your employer by salary deducation each month. It works out at just £45 per month.
I get paid weekly. Can I still sign up?

Yes – You will pay for your bus pass by salary deduction in the same way, which works out at approximately £10 per week.

Where can you travel with the SMART Bus Pass?

Smart passes are valid on bus services that operate in the area shown on the map.
